LATINA.com

Latina.com's notoriety sure is non-debatable, so I can't feel but honored and lucky for being able to add it to my "wall of achievements" here.

For having had the chance to invest some of my own experience as a web developer and some of my Drupal expertise and contribute to this brand's growth. It is, after all, the go-to-source of entertainment content for Hispanic women in America, therefore it "boasts" with a huge audience.

My Part in this Project:
My list of responsibilities included:

  • upgrading the website to Bootstrap 3 (and solving all the post-upgrade errors  here included)
  • implementing a brand new custom theme
  • implementing a mini-parser for the content feeds, for better structuring it
  • website building
  • developing site-specific Drupal modules that would enrich the set of functionalities already existing on the website

Why Drupal?
It's no mystery: Latina.com is a "content-stuffed" website impressing its audience through diversity, as well: interviews, gossip news related to the lives of highly popular Hispanic celebrities, beauty tutorials, news on Latin events, fashion tips and tricks, Latin music videos, how to's and the list can go on and on.

To this challenge, add the one given by the fact that fresh content had to be easily uploaded on a daily basis on Latina.com, so editing and uploading it needed to be "nothing but a child's play" from editors' standpoint.

And when you say "content-stuffed" and "highly diversified content" you instantly say "Drupal"!
